Passive Aggressive Library Signs

a colleague shared this with me:

Passive Aggressive Library Signs

I wonder which ones you wish were at Atkins...

  1. Hello,

Not sure if I'm in the right spot for this, but I had a suggestion for the library.

It would be great to have all of the chalk boards in the study rooms changed out with white boards. No one uses the chalk boards and it is a waste of a perfectly good learning tool. If white boards were in the study rooms, this would be one more method of learning that could be utilized and result in a better education here at UNC Charlotte.

    Thanks

    Josh

  2. Thanks for the suggestion Josh--what do you think the whiteboards would be used for? What kind of studying gets done with the help of a whiteboard?

  3. I might also be out of place in suggesting this, but will Atkins library consider installing bootcamp to their loaner Macbooks? As we all know, certain applications like executables cannot run on the Mac OSX; therefore, the Mac books would have more functionality with the option of dual booting with Windows XP- especially since it has the hardware to run both! It's pointless to invest in hardware that is so powerful but is held back by software incompatibilites and the library will not allow getting a windows laptop and a macbook at the same time and the switch back and forth can be a little frustrating.
    Thanks for reading.

  4. Hi Harry--
I've checked with Systems about this, and the dual-boot would create security problems with our macbooks, making it less likely that they would be here for students to use.
